Hands down one of my favorite parts of making a new font - lettering out alphabets and all the extra characters! Lately my favorite lettering supplies are a no.2 or no.4 round brush + some slightly diluted concentrated black watercolor on copy paper (seen above). I could do this for hours!

Thursday Motivation✨✨ •••••••••••••••••
I’ve ALWAYS been a big dreamer. I’ve always believed in the “impossible.” Those beliefs made friends and family laugh at the ideas that were brewing in my head. It made them question my logic. “Cmon Jay be realistic,” or “Everyone is doing it what makes you different,” or “Dream smaller, that’s not for you just get a job with good benefits and that’s life,” “You won’t make it,” “Everyone wants to be an entrepreneur but most don’t succeed so just quit while you’re ahead,” I had to make myself seem smaller to make someone else comfortable/ Yet the voices of doubt never stopped me from believing in a bigger calling for myself. My dreams were not crushed by the negative words of those I thought would support me the negative thoughts and vibes from those I thought would be right by my side, if anything it ignited a fire so big that every day I work harder and harder to gain more knowledge and acquire more skills to reach my goals. ✨✨ •••••••••••••••••
I have to align my business goals with MY vision. I’ve always believed that there was more to life than living to work and die. I’ve always had so many ideas but my direction and execution was what struggled but that hasn’t brought me down. The devil will try to discourage you and knock you down right when you’re nearing God’s plan for you. 🙏 •••••••••••••••••
As a single momma, its been difficult juggling everything but I wouldn’t have it any other way.! I want my son to grow up BELIEVING. Too often parents forget to nurture that trait, BELIEVING in yourself, BELIEVING in your dreams no matter how big or how “unrealistic” those around you say they are, and BELIEVING in God’s plan. 🙏✨💕 Dream BIG, Work Hard, and MAKE IT HAPPEN😘💃🏽 #selflovecoach#onlinecoaching#onlinecourse#momtrepreneur#dreambig#workhard#makeithappen#coachjmarie#thursdaymotivation
Incase you missed THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT I've decided to run a free five day challenge!
I will share with all you amazing, best kept secret on the internet, biz babes the following:

* Remove the fear that stops you from wanting to be seen.
We start on the 8th of October. Spread the word, sign up with your friends and see you on the This Chick means Business FB page at 9am.

Lately, I’ve been THAT girl with the unbrushed hair, wearing my husbands comfiest t-shirt, eyes glued to my laptop screen, because my first e-course is launching in a matter of weeks! It’s all about creating a strong, personal brand that clearly conveys your value and helps you attract your dream clients!

Train your weaknesses 🔥
From personal experience I used to avoid training my upper body. When I started CrossFit a few years ago, I realized that my back and chest were my weakest parts and it really impacted my overall strength on compound lifts like the deadlift, squat, and bench press.
🔸Balancing your physique is one thing that can help to prevent injury, poor movement patterns, and improve performance.
🔸Even if your motivation is solely aesthetics, you will benefit functionally!
🔸Training your weak parts will translate into heavier, safer lifts, so you can continue striving for your personal goals.
Pursue strength in the process 💪
I had to pull over! Oh Spring!! Today marks the first day of getting my SH$T together on my blog. I hate the little jobs but I’m working with the amaZing @altitudemedianz so expecting a 🍑 kicking. Which I can’t wait for! What do you need to get the hell off your list?

We’re just 8 hours away from closing the doors of @expwriters’ The Expert SEO Writer Course, and that’s how many students we have. .
As I wrap up the curriculum this week, and start plugging it into the course (with my producer and designer working full time right next to me), I don’t know what I’m more excited about.
This unexpectedly amazing group of students for our beta launch, or, what’s in the curriculum itself. 🙌🏻
I’m so excited about launching this writing course to the public. This is my best stuff, delivered in a short, intensive format. It’s what the industry needs. REAL advice on the subject of how to do #seowriting. .
I have invested a ton, both hours, $ and resources, into creating this course. And I know it will all pay off, especially when I see the successes of my students. 👏🏻🙌🏻💪🏻
Join us if you need to learn practical guidance on this skill set. We close tonight. 🕛 Link in profile
This might be more valuable than my college degree 🤣 got a nice little certificate after the Blitzmetrics workshop.
On a real note, it’s pretty crazy to think about how when I was in school, it was hard for me to read a book or attend class. I was never the best student. I failed several classes and my GPA wasn’t pretty.
But since I’ve graduated, all I want to do is learn. I spend my free time watching courses and reading. I attend events to continue growing my skill set. I think it really comes down to finding something that you’re super passionate about. For me, I’m super intrigued by marketing and sales psychology. I enjoy learning about buyer behavior and funnels.
So if you find yourself disengaged, ask yourself if you’re actually interested in what you’re doing. Find something that you’re actually passionate about and it will make learning/ “doing work” a lot easier

Regrann from @mindthe_gapng - Choosing keywords is the foundation of successful search engine optimisation.
Today’s topic talks about what to consider when selecting keywords, so that you can reach your SEO goals and benefit your business:
Frequency, or the number of times a word is searched for; this involves including the terms that people search for most often in relation to your products.
Competition; If you have a large established website, you may be able to appear on the search engine results for high-volume, highly competitive keywords.
Note if you’re just getting started, look for keywords that have a bit less competition.

Contd from last post... I’m going to share with you what you should include in your call or email: 👉Your name, position, organization, and location.
Some background on your organization, including your mission and some of your recent successes. 👉 Your reason for calling or writing. Indicate that you are calling because you would like to submit a grant proposal and describe what you are seeking funding for. Include a short description of the program here; include who you’re serving and how. Have an idea of how much money you would be asking for. 👉 The ask. Ask the grantmaker if they would be interested in receiving an LOI or a full application. 👉 Thank them for their time. Even if they tell you it’s not the perfect fit you thought it was, show your appreciation. 👉 Also make sure you’re ready to talk money. They might have some follow-up questions for you regarding your annual budget (exact numbers!) and the overall financial health of your organization. Don’t be caught unprepared.
Grantmakers like to see that the organizations they are funding are committed to their work, and taking the initiative to call them certainly demonstrates your commitment.
The nice thing about this step is that the work you did on Day 1 of the challenge has totally prepared you to do this!
Here are a few more tips for successful communication with the grantmaker: 👉Take a minute and write down some follow-up questions you anticipate the grantmaker asking and sketch your answers. 👉 Don’t be afraid to share stories about your participants and other stakeholders. These stories will break up the call and help the grantmaker make an emotional connection to your work. 👉 Ask questions to clarify their funding priorities. Even though it might feel like you are imposing on the grantmaker’s time, it is their job to field calls and emails from organizations. 👉Be polite and leave the channel of communication open. You might have questions later, so make sure you’re polite and thank the person you’re talking to for their time!
Good luck making your call or sending your email! You can do it!
Day 3: Contact the Grantmaker
When you reach out to the grantmaker before starting an application or LOI, you can clarify any confusion you might have about their funding priorities and ensure that you're not wasting any time applying for a grant that you don't actually stand a chance of getting.
You can talk to them about what they’re looking for and not looking for in grant proposals.
And, by contacting the grantmaker, you are showing your interest in and dedication to your work and your proposal.
Grantmakers like to know that you are going to put in the work, and getting in touch with them indicates that you are.
Finally, it is good to establish a connection with the grantmaker because if you do not receive funding from them this time, you’ll want to ask for feedback on your proposal, so that you improve your chances next time you apply.
But. . . the reality is that it can be hard to know what to say on the phone with a grantmaker. I mean, we’ve all had those phone calls that get totally derailed because we don’t have a plan for what we’ll say.
And, we all know what it feels like to hit send on an email only to realize that we’ve forgotten some important piece of information.
So first we’re going to make some notes.
